CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION

On Sunday, June 7, the Solemnity of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), after the 11:00 AM Mass, we will have a Eucharistic procession.

We will follow the following route:

  • Church turn left to Ingledew Street
  • Ingledew Street to turn left to 15th Ave
  • 15th Ave turn left to Hemlock Street
  • Hemlock Street turn left to Patricia Blvd
  • Patricia Blvd turn left to the Church

Before each turn, the procession will stop briefly for prayer and benediction. Participants are asked to follow the guidance of the volunteer marshals.

"A Corpus Christi procession is a powerful demonstration of our love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in an intentionally public way. Christ is carried to tour different stations in town representing the four corners of the earth. Thus it is also a way to show our love for our neighbors by taking Our Savior closer to them."

If the weather will not permit us to have the procession outside, we will certainly have a simplified procession inside the Cathedral.

NOVENA IN HONOR OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

We will be praying the novena in honor of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus last Wednesday, June 3, 2026. It will be prayed 10 minutes before the daily Mass. The last day of the novena will be on Thursday, June 11.

The Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was started and made popular by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. She was inspired by visions of Jesus to spread this devotion.

To receive the promises Jesus made to St. Margaret Mary, there are a few requirements:
     + Receiving Communion Frequently
+ Going to Confession and receiving the Eucharist on the first Friday of each month, for nine consecutive months. (If it isn’t offered at your parish, you can go to Confession & offer your prayers for the Holy Father’s intentions).
+ Celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart has also been established by Saint Pope John Paul II as the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests.

So as we pray the novena together, let’s especially remember our priests — and the challenge made to us all in Jesus’ message to St. Margaret Mary: "to love everyone, faithfully, with the endless love of Jesus."

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

On our parish feast day this year, Friday, June 12th, 2026, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Father Rector will include in the celebration a recognition and blessing of couples in our parish celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries.

We invite all couples in the parish to take part in this celebration appropriate to your anniversary. There is a form that we invite you to fill-in with your information. Someone from our parish will contact you as soon as we get the completed form from you.

“Your love is a testament to God’s faithfulness.”

Parishioners who have signed-up for marriage anniversary recognition are asked to come a little bit early for a briefing before Mass. There will be usherettes who will assist you upon your arrival. You will be included in the processional.
